GX2SetGPUFence is a function of the GX2 graphics API of the Wii U and skipping its usage for Breath of the Wild was Cemu's first ever hack. It's implementation by Team Cemu was reluctant, as they did not want to implement any hacks into the Cemu emulator. "Fence skipping"" started in in the 1.7.3-1.7.4 era as a way to counter the double buffered vsync used in games like The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

The discord created an emoji for GX2SetGPUFence because the majority had trouble remembering how to spell it and didn't care to type it out when mentioning it in conversation. http://compat.cemu.info/wiki/File:GX2SetGPUFence_Discord_Emoji.png
