New Super Luigi U is a spinoff title in the successful "Super Mario Bros." franchise. Based directly on "New Super Mario Bros. U," it features 82 new levels designed specifically for "The Year of Luigi." Luigi and his Toad friends can jump higher and slide longer than their Mario counterparts... Oh, and they have a new invincible ally, Nabbit! While the game was initially only a digital add-on for owners of New Super Mario Bros. U, it got its own physical release less than a month later.

Known Issues

External files

Both New Super Mario Bros. U and New Super Luigi U require four files not provided by the emulator to pass the start screen:

filename size in bytes
FFLResHigh.dat 3,871,104
FFLResHighLG.dat 3,856,000
FFLResMiddle.dat 1,490,368
FFLResMiddleLG.dat 1,489,600

These files must be dumped from your Wii U. You can use the online guide but in the end dump the required files from the path:

 storage_mlc\sys\title\0005001b\10056000\content

put them in the same path in your cemu mlc01 structure.

AMD Radeon crash on recent drivers

  • Possible crash on title screen before the save file selection screen. Fixed by reverting AMD drivers to 17.10.3 at most (older versions work fine too) (not tested on Luigi. U, only in Mario).
  • Another fix *might* work under Cemu 1.11.6 and above for *some* AMD cards by turning off separable shaders (using conventional shaders instead).

Configuration

The game does not require non-default settings to run properly. There are graphic packs available.

Gameplay Vidoes

Look at how slow that is! And that audio... Bah! That just won't do.
Fortunately for us, Cemu has progressed nicely over the past few months, to the point where NSLU is possibly the best running game in Cemu to date!
