Splatoon is a third-person shooter video game developed and published by Nintendo for the Wii U, and released worldwide in May 2015. The game centers around characters known as Inklings—beings that can transform between humanoid and squid forms, and hide or swim through colored ink sprayed on surfaces using gun or brush-based weaponry. Splatoon features several game modes, including 4-on-4 online multiplayer and a single player campaign.

Known Issues

Movement speed bug

• When using keyboard, moving northwest/northeast or southwest/southeast makes you move extremely fast. Affects all modes of play.

As of Cemu 1.13.2d/1.14.0, this issue has resurfaced. Downgrade to Cemu 1.11.3 or earlier to avoid this issue. As of Cemu 1.15.1e, this issue has been fixed.

Vendor-Specific Issues

• Inkopolis Plaza shader bug on NVIDIA GPUs

Happens when you have no shader cache and/or when starting up the game for the first time.

• Improper/Missing lighting effects on NVIDIA GPUs

Can be seen in the Splatfest-themed Inkopolis Plaza (available through Callie or Marie amiibo).

• Missing colors on certain objects on AMD GPUs.

As of Cemu 1.8.0, some colors look a bit weirder or sometimes go completely missing on AMD GPUs.

• Broken Squid Sisters dance in Splatfest Plaza

Cemu 1.15.7c Splatoon - Squid Sisters' Glitched Dance The Squid Sisters' dances in the Splatfest-themed Inkopolis Plaza are glitched, as various dance animations play at the wrong time. (Available through Callie or Marie amiibo).

Map Bugs

• Arowana Mall has a black skybox. Only way for normal color to appear is by looking up at the sky in a certain position in the map, which is near Player 1's spawn point.

Configuration

• Runs with default settings, but tweaking is recommended. A full list of config options is available in the Config template's documentation. There are also graphic packs available.
• Slow CPUs might have a boost in FPS using Cycle based timer by selecting CPU > Timer > Cycle based timer, but it will be unable to go online with this setting.
• Selecting Dual-core/Triple-core recompiler in CPU > Mode > Dual-core/Triple-core recompiler can increase FPS but it might be very unstable.

Was able to move, but the horizontal axis is still not programmed in (also to move the vertical I had to hold the right mouse button). I was able to spray ink (which had collision and showed on the ground), throw ink-bombs, and turn into a squid. However the major bug holding me back from continuing (this was at the skate rank part where you had to turn into a squid and go into the ink to climb up a wall/ramp) was that I couldn't go into the ink. I heard from a friend that this was from GPU programming, although I haven't seen either of the two developers announce the reason so this is just pure speculation. And as for graphics, the skin is still shiny when it's not supposed to be that reflective, the textures do look okay and the shadows are also good. Also one more bug with the camera is that it'll pan down beneath the ground and thus making the character unable to move. Turned off audio makes the game stay at high 50s, so that is a recommended compromise if you don't particularly mind no audio. Some minor visual glitches are present, for example - there's no top of an ink fountain. Graphics pack: 1920x1080, High Shadow Resolution, Quarter Amount Bloom. Everything seems to work properly. Completed the single player campaign with no crashes. Most of the time the games runs at full speed even with manually enabled FXAA and MFAA. Hardly see any micro-stuttering after importing the shader cache. All the video in Splatfest are playing normally. Haven't tested online mode so don't know if there are glitches inside. So far only encountered 4 issues. 1.Just like the glitch in Map Bugs, in Arowana Mall the player on TV still gets black sky box.
