YouTube provides a forum for people to connect, inform and inspire others across the globe and acts as a distribution platform for original-content creators and advertisers, large and small.

Known Issues

Softlock

YouTube softlocks since Cemu 1.8.1. Fixed in Cemu 1.15.10.

Crashes

• Does not crash in the menu if the Wii U system files are present.
• Cemu may and probably will crash during video playback.
• Cemu crashes when trying to search or go to the settings tab.

Freezes

• May freeze during video playback or in the menu.

Slowdowns

• May slowdown drastically during video playback or browsing the menu. Log files contain coreint.exit(1) printed repeatedly.

Failed to Connect

• As of Cemu 1.15.10 Youtube sometimes fails to connect. (Might be fixed?)

Pretty sure that says failed or something like that.

Configuration

• Requires Cemuhook and Cemuhook h.264 to play videos.
• Works only on single-core recompiler.
• Renders UI upside-down. So you will need to use the render upside-down option in Debug.

Works only on single-core recompiler. Renders UI upside-down. Needs cemuhook h.264 to play videos. Crashes if you try to search or enter the settings. Can slow down dramatically as it spams coreint.exit(1) in the log files. Can fail to connect to youtube out right. Might freeze when playing videos.

Works perfectly on this version of CeMU, audio functions very well (a feature of which does not appear to function with CeMU version 1.26.0). Runs well and videos will load even without the need for cemuhook, however all videos seem to lack audio of any kind. Signing into an account through the YouTube mobile app does not function, however signing in through a browser and entering the code on screen works. Adjusting the speed of a video does not change anything, as the video will still continue to play in its original speed. Exiting YouTube through pressing B on the home screen does not stop the emulation unlike with the Friends List app, but instead simply goes back to the YouTube home screen. Consistent 60fps.
