Nintendo eShop is a system application that allows users to buy and download software, DLC and demos using an internet connection and an account with a linked Nintendo Network ID. Nintendo eShop also offered game trailers and videos of published software on Wii U, as well as other Nintendo systems, to watch in the application. As of March 27th of 2023, Nintendo have discontinued the ability to purchace and redeem software on Nintendo eShop for Wii U. You will no longer be able to buy new games, software and demos as well as watching game trailers and videos. You will still be able to redownload games that you have already purchased.
Known Issues
- Downloads can't be started here due to Cemu's limitations. Use Cemu's build-in Download Manager to download legitimately owned digital titles (Online files required).
- Search page text is corrupted.
- Game screenshots are stuck for a long while on the first screenshot selected for view by the user.
- Cemu could previously purchase and redeem software on Nintendo eShop. But that's no longer possible due to Nintendo eShop's closure.
Configuration
In order for Nintendo eShop to work you will have to dump valid online files from a real Wii U for it to function. Follow the Cemu online guide for more information.
Placing the nn_vctl.rpl library into the cafeLibs folder may make so the title's size and the Install Space section shows up on the title's page. However the incorrect title size and available system memory is displayed. Instead the game size defaults to 1KB and the amount of available system memory is set to 30GB. This is due to missing libraries in Cemu's HLE implementation of the coreinit library.
