The Internet Browser is a Wii U System Application pre installed on all Wii U's running system version 2.0.0 and above. It works as an Internet browser allowing you to search the web with ease using the Wii U Gamepad and on later versions other controllers too. The Wii U Bebbrowser is based in the NetFront NX 2.1 (3.0 in later versions) which uses the WebKit rendering engine. The Internet Browser supports viewing PDF files using downloadable links. The Wii U's web browser is very outdated leading to many web pages not loading, displaying or working as expected or not being accessible. The web browser is also susceptible to many security exploits, due to the lack of updates, making browsing on this web browser relatively unsafe on the modern internet, a side effect is that it also makes the Wii U easy to hack or Jail Break.
Known Issues
Broken keyboard input
Cemu's build-in software keyboard isn't able to insert or write text properly in text or search boxes on web pages. Fix in config.
Developer Tools does not work
Using developer tools are not supported, as it requires the emulator to set up a local server other PC's can connect to which isn't supported. Inserting the IP into a web browser on your PC or other smart device will not work.
Configuration
Title runs fine on standard settings. However, loading the Wii U's native software keyboard (swkbd.rpl & nsyskbd.rpl) is recommended to fix keyboard input on web pages. Follow the System RPL Files Guilde for more info on loading the Wii U's software keyboard.
