Fast Racing Neo is a futuristic racing video game developed by Shin'en Multimedia and released for the Wii U in December 2015.
It is often compared to Nintendo's F-Zero franchise. It is the second entry in the series, the first being Fast Racing League released on WiiWare for the Wii.
Very playable. Background music is fixed in this build as well as game performance. There is some flickering textures and a graphics overlay that is partly broken, but still doable
Runs very well. There are graphical issues sometimes. Cemu crashes whenever I hit an obstacle. The short cutscenes of each track before the races are not shown (a black screen appears).Note:I use Cemuhook.
No longer crashes when I hit an obstacle (unlike in 1.11.5d). Lesser graphical issues than 1.11.5d.The short cutscenes of each track before the races are not shown.Note: I use Cemuhook.
Cemuhook used. Graphical flickering. Black screen for 20-40 seconds between announcer revealing track and track actually loading. Strange squares when driving over water. EDIT: The map Hibashira Speedway is nearly unplayable, very bad flickering and bloom covering entire screen, and the track popping in right in front of the car.
Graphics with OpenGL are flawless. With Vulkan, there's a strange blur effect over the whole screen, making the game near unplayable. Audio has rendering issues in some tracks (like the first one) : the volume goes suddenly strong or low in some sections of the track (DirectSound/XAudio doesn't matter). (Tested with game version 1.21)
Vulkan graphics now render ok. Audio has rendering issues in some tracks (like the first one) : the volume goes suddenly strong or low in some sections of the track (DirectSound/XAudio doesn't matter ; it seems that an audio effect is not well rendered). (Tested with game version 1.21)
Game runs with minor hitches. Numerous graphical issues with both OpenGL and Vulkan : with OpenGL, some transparent textures are not transparent (best seen in Hibashira Speedway) and use random textures as background (like random noise, normal maps or even the title screen), some geometry draws on top of fog effects (best seen in Chuoko City), and the sami-transarent boost portals are barely visible. Vulkan has the same issues, plus broken lens flares and sometimes a semi-transparent normal map overlays over the entire screen. Audio reverberation doesn't work, it ups the volume and makes the sounds crackle.
