It was officially announced via a Nintendo Direct webcast on November 12, 2015 and was released on March 4, 2016. It is the second remaster of a Zelda title on the Wii U, following The Wind Waker HD. A bundle set containing the Wolf Link amiibo was also released, alongside a Sound Selection CD released exclusively for a limited time. The game features graphical upgrades from the original version and runs at 1080p with most of the menu HUD having a new style of look. Also, it features some gameplay changes and quality of life improvements (such as the ability to change into Wolf Link and Normal Link on the fly via the Gamepad).
== Known Issues ==
Like Wind Waker HD, most of Twilight Princess' models and assets are left the same as how they were in the original, mainly receiving the upgraded texture treatment to look less muddy and more detailed. Like Wind Waker HD however, this remake also received the 30FPS cap limit.
=== Missing sound and music ===
*This only occurs when the game doesn't maintain 30 frames per second.

== Configuration ==
This game requires ''GPU buffer cache accuracy'' set to '''High (slow)''' to run properly.
*This game does not require non-default settings to run properly.<br />
A full list of config options is available in the Config template's documentation. There are also [[Tutorial:Graphic pack|graphic packs available]].
Click on ''Debug'' > ''Custom Timer'' and set it to '''RTDSC'''/'''QPC''' to make the mini-games timer run correctly. [https://sshnuke.net/cemuhook/ Cemuhook] is required.
*Recommended settings:
Just keep cemu at default, meaning;
'''Game Profile -> CPU Mode''': Auto / Multi-core recompiler
'''General Settings -> Graphics''': Async Compile (only applies if you are using the Vulkan API.
'''Cemuhook''': Not needed for this title, but if you have it, leave everything set to "default", including the QPC to '''"Cemu Default"'''.

Configuration
This game does not require non-default settings to run properly.
A full list of config options is available in the Config template's documentation. There are also graphic packs available.
Recommended settings:
Just keep cemu at default, meaning;
Game Profile -> CPU Mode: Auto / Multi-core recompiler
General Settings -> Graphics: Async Compile (only applies if you are using the Vulkan API.
Cemuhook: Not needed for this title, but if you have it, leave everything set to "default", including the QPC to "Cemu Default".
Generally 30 FPS (large areas e.g. Hyrule Field are untested). There appears to be no sound, and major lighting issues in some areas of the game such as on doors. Grey minimap border has a chunk missing. Rupee count seems to be missing?
Sound only in the title screen/menu, constant 30fps nearly everywhere tested. Pitch-black darkness AMD owners experienced is gone and lighting/environment looks great in these areas as well. Part of the mini-map is missing, textures for Ilia's arms and 1 leg are now oddly missing and does not seem to happen to any other NPC's so far. Can now select to use Wii U Pro controller instead of the gamepad in-game.
Game stays at 30 FPS most of the time. May dip down to 20-25 briefly. Minimap issue fixed, audio will sometimes play (when you load the game), but there appears to be minor errors with audio emulation (audio may cut off briefly) .
30 FPS in small and large areas. Enemy encounters in large areas will cause slowdown until they're defeated. Aside from some rare instances of jingles while navigating the item screen the game remains completely silent. Some character models are glitched (Ilia and Wolf Link are missing some body parts)
To fix the no audio issue simply clear cpu usage as best as you can then start. The first bit of loading when you start the game can drop your fps and stop audio if there are too many back ground cpu heavy tasks on a weak cpu.
There is some minor frame drop in intense areas and loading up with some minor texture glitches here and there i.e. Ordon Shield texture on the ground in a cave.
Sound issues (disappears permanently upon entering a new area). Manages to maintain 30 FPS in an area after a short period of slow framerates (22 -> 30).
With all default Cemu (1.5.4) settings, the game plays at 30 fps with very few if any hiccups. The sound mostly works, however some sounds cut out for a split second and return in scenes where there seems to be a lot of sounds playing at once. At rare times a texture may appear wrong on a model (stretched).
Graphically great, but many sounds play just the first snippet, then cut out. What should be a "haiiiyaaa!" is just "haii-". Menu sounds should be "budududing!", but are "budu-". (If that all makes sense)
plagued with unbearable graphical glitches oddly enough the game works flawlessly on the 1.6.0 like 92 to 98% a hair behind the Dolphin versions with a few audio hiccups.
Visual flickering, which seems worse while wearing blue tunic; music becomes fractured and quiet in certain areas, such as the castle town central square; audio glitches when zoomed out on game map; CEMU freezes when opening the boss door to Fyrus in Goron Mines dungeon, CEMU crash after defeating Ganondorf
Playable from start to finish with 0 crashes using 4K Gpack and Wii U GamePad.Sound issues in open areas and map sound and frame stutter when cursor is on top of it.Sometimes opening a map will cripple the controls for few seconds.Mini-game STARS is broken time countdown runs down way too fast.
Playable from start to the first fade to black screen after the final boss sword fight. Ganon's eyes roll back into his head...goes to fade to black then crashes. Unable to see final cinematics of game. (some users have reported that they were able to see them. I personally had the crash everytime).
Softlocks upon using the Big Key in Death Mountain, workaround is to make warp point at the door, save, start game with mode set to "Single core interpreter", open the door and start boss fight, save, start again back in recompiler mode, get to boss door again which will now be unlocked. Map is laggy.
Completely playable. Wii U Pro Controller now works. When aiming, fast analog movement often causes Link to rotate 180 degrees unless Deadzone Range is set to 90% or lower. Full emulation speed with a 4K graphic pack in every part of the game except the map overview. Minor audio issues when too many sounds are played at the same time. The countdown timers are way too fast, but it's still possible to beat Ordon Ranch and STAR minigames.
Some minor Slowdowns in cutscenes and the like but perfectly playable otherwise. Debug option -> Timer = RDTS x1 speed - CPU mode Single Core recompiled gives better performance than Dual or Triple Core Recompiler
The game runs perfectly at 30 FPS without noticing any issues. It only drops to 26 FPS when the world map is fully zoomed out. A custom CPU affinity that lets Cemu use only half of my logical cores is recommended to get rid of 1-2 second freezes every 30-60 seconds.
Holds stable 30 fps except when compiling shaders at the start of certain cutscenes. Reflective surfaces such as the Temple of Time and Snowpeak Ruins, as well as smoke and sparkle effects, bleed through black bars during cutscenes.
The dual/triple-core recompliers cause performance drops and microstuttering, but it runs perfectly with the single-core recompiler. The resolution graphics pack causes issues with cinematic black bars.
(Using Cemu-Hook, affinity All Logical Cores and timer QPC 1x) No problems or graphical issues, no stuttering (Even when compiling shaders) and no issues with black bars using the resolution mod unlike previous versions.
Game was completely playable with very little issues. The most notable problems was Wolf Link occasionally having a model error problem: Nose and Back paws disappearing (only happens on Vulkan). Tested with a couple graphical enhancements such as 4K and increased LoD Textures, no performance drop whatsoever except for when shaders get compiled, there are some micro stutters. The game is not quite perfect, but it's pretty close. Fire is no longer an issue with Vulkan.
Virtually Perfect on Vulkan! Played up until City in the sky dungeon with incredibly few bugs and visual glitches. Two notable exceptions are the Hyrule Kingdom map cursor being buggy and the Fused Shadows origin story cutscene experiencing a few visual errors. Wiki may no longer apply.
